COVID-19 Re-Opening Policies


While sessions will remain essentially the same as before the pandemic, some new protocols have been added for your safety and well-being, per Massachusetts regulations.

The day before your appointment, I will call, email or text you to check in about your health. If you’re experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we will reschedule your session.

Additional reasons we may need to postpone your session:

  • If you have travelled by plane, train, or ship in the last 14 days, please postpone your appointment.
  • If you or anyone in your home or at work has had an exposure, has tested positive, or is waiting for a test result, please postpone your appointment.
  • If you or anyone in your household has been anywhere with a high infection rates within the last 14 days,(i.e. state-designated “hotspots”, please wait to schedule an appointment.
  • If you have hosted any visitors from out-of-state in the past 14 days, you must wait to schedule an appointment.

**Clients with pre-existing health conditions should discuss their specific vulnerability with their PCP BEFORE scheduling an appointment.

PLEASE NOTE: While the virus is active in the community, clients who are at high risk per the Center for Disease Control (CDC) due to any of the following underlying conditions, who wish to schedule an appointment, will be evaluated on a case by case basis, for the safety of all concerned. (Asthma (moderate to severe), Diabetes, Severe Obesity, Compromised Immunity, Chronic Kidney, Heart, Lung, Liver Disease, Cancer Diagnosis, Blood Disorders, and Pregnancy.)

Once we schedule your appointment, I will email a health intake and an informed consent form with COVID-19 related information and precautions for you to sign. Please print out a copy, fill them out and sign them, and bring them with you to your appointment. If you do not have email or a printer, I’ll have extra copies here for you.

When you arrive for your session, please call or text me from your car, and I’ll let you know when I’m ready for you to come into the office. (413-250-0033). We’ll review your health intake information before you come in to keep talking (and aerosol production) in the treatment room to a minimum.

If you bring a water bottle, please leave it and any bags, purses, hats, etc., anything non- essential to your session, in the car.

You MUST wear your mask to enter the building and at ALL TIMES during your session. Valve type masks, bandanas, or scarves do not count as masks. I have appropriate surgical masks available if you need one. Both NOSE AND MOUTH MUST be covered at ALL times.

When you enter the building, please wash your hands thoroughly or use hand sanitizer. I will do the same before your session. When you leave the office, you must again use hand sanitizer.

I will check your temperature with a contactless thermometer before treatment to confirm that you don’t have a fever. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will have to reschedule. If you feel ill on the day of your appointment, please stay home. There is no penalty for canceling your appointment.

Between client appointments, all surfaces, including the floor, table and face cradle, will be sanitized with hospital grade disinfectant spray/wipes. Then the table will be made up with clean linens and a clean blanket. I’ve added a pillowcase hanging under the face cradle for extra protection when you’re face down.

A high quality air purifier with a HEPA filter will be used in the room throughout your session. When possible, the window — YES! A WINDOW — will be open for increased ventilation. I am still in Suite 4, but I have MOVED across the hall for the window/fresh air to help keep us safe.

For safety’s sake, in order to minimize aerosols and the possibility of spreading the virus, talking before, during, and after sessions must be limited. I apologize in advance.

After your session, if you would like to pay by check, please have it pre-written. Cash and credit card are also accepted. You may reschedule by phone, text or email.

Please notify me if you become ill within 14 days after your session so that my family and I can be tested, traced, and quarantined to prevent further spread of the virus.
